Well these kind of suck a little...I was working with black watercolor so it was a little harder...I seemed to have misplaced the ink that I got from China which is richer and takes water a little better. But still, I gotta say, brushstroke painting is seriously the hardest. I know that I've said drawing fish is hard. And drawing hands are harder. And that drawing roses are even harder. But I think this takes the cake. Especially if you do it on rice paper with the right ink with the mat underneath. Lots and lots of practice to get it believable. As always, practice makes perfect.

You can find these at my Etsy Shop. Each on is a postcard.

Flowers. Another extremely difficult item to draw. Add them to the list: flowers, hands, fish

Acrylic is probably my least favorite medium mainly because I have trouble controlling it. I feel like I would maybe prefer oils. Acrylic dries too quickly. My work never turns out quite as kickass as I see it in my head and this is no exception. I suppose practice makes perfect.

Our server went down for maintenance at work today so I had a little time to kill. It couldn't have been timed worse since our deadline is Friday.

The great thing about drawing trees is that they are like clay and completely malleable. You can never go wrong. It basically takes any form and stray lines can always be turned into more branches.

Today I got some new books in the mail, now I can read on the bus (resolution no. 2). First up is Let the Great World Spin by Colum McCann...will review when I finish.
